The Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival (DBGYFF) - Season 3 is set to take place on the 17th and 18th of October, 2024, uniting young filmmakers from across the globe. This year’s festival has achieved remarkable milestones, receiving an impressive 1,287 film submissions from 110 countries. After an exhaustive evaluation by a panel of 114 jurors, 120 exceptional films have been shortlisted to be showcased during the event.

The festival’s theme, “I Have a Dream: Youth and Climate Change – Making Mother Earth Cleaner & Greener,” highlights the vital role of youth in combating climate change. These films reflect the creativity and passion of young filmmakers tackling one of the world’s most urgent challenges.

The festival will culminate with a grand finale at the Loretto Theatre, Sheen Centre, New York, while local screenings of the shortlisted films will take place at the Bicentenary Hall, Don Bosco Panjim, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on October 17 and 18, 2024. Entry is free and open to all, providing everyone an opportunity to witness these inspiring stories.

We are thrilled to announce that our school’s short film, ‘A Wish for Change’, directed by Mast. Prathit J. Fernandes (Class 10), has been shortlisted for screening on Day One, October 17, 2024. Moreover, this remarkable film has earned the prestigious title of Best Regional Short Film for the South Asian Region.

It is an incredible honour to have our students’ efforts recognized on such a global platform. Let us come together to support and celebrate their creative contributions toward a greener future!
