We were honoured to have our ex- students Mr Yohan Santos and Adv Clinton Rebello along with Ms Mariebelle to judge the Debate with PPT competition on 30th December. The 12 participants from the four houses were intriguing as they put forth their views in favour of and against the topics.
Speaking for and against the first motion we had Nehru vs Tagore House- PAPERLESS SOCIETY IS THE NEED OF TODAY
Speaking for and against the second motion we had Bose Vs Gandhi-
TECHNOLOGY INTENSIFIES HUMAN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
The team members showed their mettle and caliber as they engaged in the rebuttal round slated as the last round. Although each speaker did amazingly well, the best according to our judges were
Nehru house as winners Vs Tagore house as runners up and
Bose house as winners Vs Gandhi house
Shayan Dhond of Bose house was adjudged the Best Speaker while Dishon Dias of Nehru house bagged the Runners up for best speaker category.
The Debate Competition forour students proved to be very influential as it helped them to boost their confidence, removed the fear of speaking in public, developed critical thinking, and how to think and communicate under pressure.
