Our recent 2-day adventure to Bangaram Island, Lakshadweep, organized by Fly91 in collaboration with Don Bosco High School, was nothing short of magical. The journey began before we even reached the island, as our students kicked off an impromptu jam session aboard the flight, singing Goan mandos. With such contagious energy, even the flight captain joined in, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Upon landing in Agatti, the excitement continued as we embarked on a stunning one-hour boat ride across crystal-clear turquoise waters to the uninhabited paradise of Bangaram Island. With only the resort staff to welcome us, we found ourselves surrounded by untouched beauty—pristine beaches and the serenity of nature.
The highlight of the trip was the presence of Goan Bollywood playback singer, Hemaa Sardesai. Not only did she perform with our choir, but she also hosted a special grooming session, sharing invaluable singing tips. From refining breathing techniques to discovering the emotional depth of music, her guidance gave our students a profound understanding of vocal performance and artistry.
Day 2 kicked off with a peaceful beachside walk at dawn, where our students took the opportunity to relax, dip their toes in the water, and even go coral hunting. As the morning unfolded, we continued the fun with a lively dance session and jammed together as a school choir, making the most of our time in this idyllic setting.
As the sun began to set, Hemaa and our choir came together for an extraordinary jam session right on the shore. The harmonies of their voices blended beautifully with the gentle sound of the waves, creating a musical experience unlike any other.
At Don Bosco High School, we teach our students not only to fly but to land safely too. This 2-day journey was a perfect reflection of that philosophy—full of music, learning, and memories that will last a lifetime.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Fly91, and Lakshadweep Tourism for making this incredible opportunity possible.
