The feast of St Dominic Savio was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Don Bosco High
School, Panjim. The day began with special prayer services and Holy Masses organised for all
sections of the school – Primary, Middle, and High School – invoking God’s blessings and seeking the
intercession of the young saint.
Throughout the day, students engaged in various activities inspired by the life and virtues of St
Dominic Savio. A short inspirational movie on his life was screened in classrooms, highlighting his
deep faith, cheerful spirit, and commitment to doing ordinary things in extraordinary ways.
Following the screening, an interactive quiz based on his life encouraged students to reflect on his
values and teachings. A milk chocolate treat on the celebration day added an extra touch of joy to
the students’ experience of the feast.
Creative class-based activities such as poster-making, storytelling, and reflective writing further
helped students understand the relevance of Dominic Savio's life in today’s world. The celebration
concluded with students taking home a message of holiness, kindness, and service.
As St Dominic Savio once said,
“I am not capable of doing big things, but I want everything I do, even the smallest thing, to be
done for the greater glory of God.”
His life continues to be a shining example for young minds to live with purpose and purity.
