We are thrilled to share an extraordinary and melodious triumph that has filled the campus of Don Bosco Panjim with resounding applause and cheer. In the prestigious 25th edition of Vem Cantar, the renowned Portuguese singing competition organized by Fundação Oriente the talented students of Don Bosco, Panjim have secured the coveted first place in the group category.

The 25th edition of Vem Cantar, a revered annual event that celebrates the rich tapestry of Portuguese music, took place on September 24th, 2023, at Institute Menezes Braganza Hall, Panjim. It was a stage where musical talents from various institutions converged to showcase their abilities. In a competition marked by fierce competition and exceptional vocal performances, our students emerged as the undeniable champions.

What makes this victory truly remarkable is the fact that our students, some of the youngest participants in their category, boldly faced off against competitors significantly older and more experienced. Their dedication, harmonious performances, and tireless effort culminated in a remarkable victory.

The team Os Boscoites de Pangim comprising of students from Don Bosco High School, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School and a past pupil ranging from 13 to 17 years of age, secured the coveted first place, demonstrating a unique synergy that captivated both the judges and the audience. The captivating voices of David D'Souza, Demetrius Gonsalves, Nicole Noronha, Stephen Sampayo, Annalise Das Chagas E Silva, and Darren Pinto, along with the musical talents of Vivek Da Costa Frias, Gavin Ferreira, and past pupil Darius Gonsalves left an indelible mark on the competition.

This journey to success was not without sacrifices. Our students, driven by an unwavering commitment to their art, made notable sacrifices, including forgoing camps, basketball matches, and most significantly, their cherished Ganesh break. Their dedication was nothing short of inspiring, underscoring the commitment and passion that drove them to victory.

This victory stands as a testament to the excellence that our institutions nurture and a shining example of the Don Bosco spirit. Our students have not only demonstrated their musical prowess but also the enduring values that Don Bosco instills, emphasizing the collaborative spirit and the relentless pursuit of excellence that defines our institutions
