Celebrating the essence of Christmas

Christmas is almost here, and it is that time of the year when our students will get busy with lots of activities and events that celebrate the occasion .The essence of Christmas comes alive at Don Bosco High, Panjim, when the students and teachers get together and share the delightful celebrations through various activities starting with the contributions of stationery and toiletry articles, made for the less fortunate children in our state. Christmas is a time to give and forgive. The precious gifts of hope, peace, joy and love were the gifts, God handed us with the birth of Jesus Christ. In turn, we must do similar for those less beholden than ourselves. The class star making competition and the individual competitions of brightly coloured craft articles are placed all over the school building attracting everyone’s attention to the ingenuity and intricacies with which they are made by the students. Much importance is given in inculcating love and respect for the family especially towards the elders in the family, on this joyous occasion of Grandparent’s day. The school Quadrangle vibrates with the echoes of Christmas carols and Nativity play when presented delivers a Christmas message at this event. Last but not the least the boundless joy of celebrating the festival gets amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moves around distributing sweets to them.
