Debate Café Report

The two rounds of debate competition with power point presentation of the Preliminary round conducted on 12th Sept and the Final round organized on 28th Sept were a befitting platform to simulate, enhance and reciprocate co-operation diplomacy and refine skill sets of our students of classes 8th, 9th and 10th thereby preparing them to take on global challenges to speak on. The four house teams put in a lot of effort in their preparation despite their regular classes. The unending support and guidance given to the students by their mentors the teachers was commendable. In fact, it’s all because of the combined perseverance, constancy and immovability that they were selected as champions to represent their houses.

The topics for the preliminary rounds were as follows.

1. Co educations fosters a balanced personality: contested between Nehru house as the proposition team and Gandhi House as the opposition team.

2. Home schooling versus traditional schooling: contested between Tagore house as the proposition team and Bose house as the opposition team.

The two winning teams went on to the final round. The topic for the final round was, “ Has man become a slave to Technology?”.
