The school initiative highlighted that a daily exercise routine can nurture discipline, mindfulness, inner strength, and overall well-being.
On International Yoga Day 2026, Don Bosco High School (Panjim-Goa) staff and students came together with great enthusiasm and active participation to highlight the importance of exercise. The school successfully promoted the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being, and a balanced lifestyle.
The activities for the day exemplified the role physical wellness plays in creating harmony between the body and mind. Special sessions were organised for students and staff, where they practised various breathing exercises and relaxation techniques under the guidance of the Physical Education teacher and trained Yoga instructor Sir Asif Sheikh.
The session encouraged everyone to embrace exercises as a part of their daily routine for a healthier life. The message conveyed on the day was that daily exercise is not merely a fitness endeavour but a way of life that nurtures discipline, mindfulness, inner strength, and overall well-being.
Adding to the spirit of the occasion, 30 students of Don Bosco High School (Panjim-Goa), accompanied by the Physical Education teacher Sir Diogo Gomes participated in the yoga programme organised by the Government of Goa at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium.
